“Going a
little ahead, he (Jesus) fell to the ground and prayed for a way out:
"Papa, Father, you can—can't you?—get me out of this. Take this cup away
from me. But please, not what I want—what do you want?" Mark 14:35 – 36, The Bible (The Message Version)
As children,
no matter how old we are, we can get ourselves into trouble.
We try to
figure it out or hide, but the problems don’t go away, instead they double.
Sometimes
leaning on our family, friends, partners, husbands or wives doesn’t meet the
need.
Where can we
go? Who can we turn to? Who will listen out for our cry or pled?
This
scripture reminds us that Jesus called on God for help when he was feeling
weak.
God is waiting
- ready to comfort us, ready to renew us, if Him we decide to seek.
The best escape
strategy can be found in God the Father who is eternal and all powerful too.
So when you say, “Daddy! Help!” be
confident that He will be there and show you what to do.
